A family business since 1951
Founded on 7 June 1951 by Dr Guido Braghini, the company originally operated as Policarta, producing cushioning pads made from soft paper, primarily for the confectionery industry.
In the early 1960s, the company added plastics manufacturing to its paper-processing operations. Starting with chocolate trays, it gradually expanded into food packaging, blister packs, displays and technical components.
Continuing to evolve
Over the years, the company has specialised in vacuum and pressure thermoforming, developing standard and bespoke solutions for customers in Italy and abroad.
The early 2000s marked a major manufacturing upgrade and a transition to a new generation of leadership. Production was reorganised, an own-brand product range was introduced, and warehousing and equipment were expanded. The Plastpack brand took on the identity it retains today.
